Abstract:

This research is a qualitative descriptive research. The research subjects were school principals, dance extracurricular teachers, students. Data collection techniques use observation, interviews, documentation. Data analysis techniques using data collection analysis techniques, data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions. The validity of the data used triangulation of sources and techniques. The results showed that: (1) The extracurricular dance teacher at SD Negeri Experiment 4 used indirect learning strategies and independent learning strategies. (2) The results of learning dance can increase talents and interests, increase learning activeness, increase knowledge, and improve learning achievement. (3) Supporting factors in the activities of implementing teacher learning strategies include the quality or ability of the teacher, the educational background of the teacher, the teacher’s teaching experience, learning facilities, the awareness of students to take part in dance extracurricular activities, the existence of a strong willingness to learn, methods varied learning., learning tools that support extracurricular dance, environmental factors. (4) Inhibiting factors for the implementation of teacher learning strategies, namely the ability of students who are not the same, school facilities that are still easily accessible to students who do not participate in dance extracurricular activities, changing moods of students, limited time available
