Efektivitas Metode Index Card Match terhadap Keterampilan Membaca Aksara Jawa Peserta Didik Sekolah Dasar

Abstract:

This type of research is pre-experimental with a one-group pretest-posttest research design. The population in this study were 24 class IV students. The sample of this study used a saturated sampling technique, namely 24 class IV students. The data collection techniques used in this study were observation techniques, documentation analysis techniques, and test techniques. For data analysis techniques the Paired Sample t-test was used. Based on the results of the calculations in the study showed that the students’ reading skills of Javanese script increased, by looking at the results of the resulting average score, the average posttest score was 76.50 higher than the pretest average score which only got 66. , 21. In addition, the results of hypothesis testing using Paired Sample t-test obtained tcount 2.839> 2.069 ttable (Ho rejected and Ha accepted) at a significance level of 0.05 with df 23 and sig. (2-tailed) of 0.009. Number sig. (2-tailed) is more than the criterion number 0.05, then Ho is rejected and Ha is verified. These results indicate that the increase occurred after the treatment was given in the form of learning using the ICM method. Based on the results of the study, the students’ literacy skills increased as a result of the effective application of the ICM method, so Ha was verified.
