Pengorganisasian Perpustakaan Sebagai Pusat Literasi SD Muhammadiyah Condongcatur

Abstract: The lack of literacy skills that students affect the learning process and outcomes. This is  the background for library management research at SD Muhammadiyah Condongcatur which received accreditation A from the National Library of Indonesia. This study aims to determine the organization of the SD Muhammadiyah Condongcatur library in running the library as a student literacy center. The type of research to be carried out is qualitative using a qualitative descriptive method. The subjects in this study were the principal and two librarians. Data collection techniques are in the form of interviews and observation of library locations, while data analysis is carried out by reducing, displaying and verifying data so that the research results have a proven level of truth. The result of this research is that the management of the library “HAMKA” SD Muhammadiyah Condongcatur has complete organizational components which have an organizational structure with clear positions and duties and tenure. Organizational members are school administrators who have educational backgrounds in library science and other sciences in accordance with the fields covered in the library organizational structure. Library organizing activities include work plans, division of labor, coordination, monitoring and reorganization. The work system that has been established with various library facilities makes the organizing process run well. Organizational components that have been fulfilled have a major influence in turning on the function of the library as a student literacy center.
