Abstract:

Undergraduate student faces many challenges in 21th era. One of thekey to succeded it is by having high order thinking skill. This paper is want to know the competencies of undergraduate student in accomplishing natural high order thinking skill (HOTS) type science subject test . This paper subjects are UAD’s undergraduate students who take natural science subject. This paper uses descriptive-qualitative studies with ex-post facto survey-based test. The result of this paper is the high order thinking skill level of UAD’s 1st semester of undergraduate students is 38,67% (medium). The skill of 1st semester of udergraduate students accomplishing analitic test subject is 41,33% (low) and evaluation test subject is 37,33% (medium). For 5th semester of undergraduate students, their high order thinking skill level is 38,67% (medium) with their skill on analitic test subject is 41,77% (high) and on evaluation test suject is 32,91% (medium). The conclusion is that UAD’s undergraduate students of Education of Elementary School Teacher study program need to upgrade their high order thinking skill in natural science subject test, especially on C5 level.
