Peningkatan Kemampuan Menyelesaikan Soal Cerita Matematika Materi Waktu, Jarak dan Kecepatan Melalui Pembelajaran Kooperatif Tipe Think Pair Share Siswa Kelas V SD Muhammadiyah Pandeyan

Abstract:

This research is to improve the ability to solve mathematical story problems material time, distance and speed through the application of Think Pair Share cooperative learning in fifth grade students of SD Muhammadiyah Pandeyan. This research is a Classroom Action Research (CAR) or Classroom Action Research (CAR). This type of research is appropriate because the problems in this study occur in the classroom. The data collection techniques used are Test, Observation and Documentation. Data were analyzed using data reduction steps, data display and conclusion drawing.  The results of this study indicate that the Think Pair Share learning model can improve the ability to solve mathematical story problems of fifth grade students of Muhammadiyah Pandeyan. Increased ability to solve the story questions can be seen from the test results. In the pretest there were 32% (5 students) out of the 16 students who reached the KKM. The test resultsin cycle 1 showed that there were 50% (8 students) of the number of students who reached KKM, while in cycle 2 there were 86.67% (14 students) of the number of students who reached KKM. The average value before the cycle of 5.06 while at the end of cycle 1 the average value of the test was 5.87, and at the end of cycle 2 it was 86.67.
