Penggunaan Model Pembelajaran Discovery Learning Untuk Meningkatkan Kemandirian dan Hasil Belajar Siswa Kelas V di SD Negeri II Taskombang Kabupaten Klaten

Abstract: Education is the most basic and occupies a strategic position in the development of human resources. The study was conducted to improve the independence and learning outcomes of students in learning. The level of independence and learning outcomes in class V SD N II Taskombang in Klaten Regency are still very low. Based on these conditions, we need a treatment to improve these problems, especially in learning Theme 2 Subtema 2 “Clean Air for Health” using discovery learning learning models. This type of research used in this research is classroom action research. The research subjects used were grade V SD Negeri II Taskombang, Klaten Regency with a total of 15 students. This research procedure uses two cycles, each procedure including planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. Data collection techniques using observation, interviews, and tests. Data collection instruments used observation guidelines, interview guidelines, and written tests. Based on the results of research conducted, it can be concluded that the level of independence of cycle I to cycle II increased from 53.3% to 93.3%. While the learning outcomes of students also increased from cycle I by 40%, then in cycle II amounted to 86.6%. These results indicate that the application of discovery learning model can improve the independence and learning outcomes of students in class V students of SD N II Taskombang, Klaten Regency.
