Abstract

This study aims to determine the strategies of parents and teachers at TK Aba Karangkajen Kota Yogjakarta in reviving children’s learning motivation in order to maintain children’s education sustainability in the Study From Home (SFH) policy during the Covid-19 pandemic. In this study, researchers used a descriptive qualitative approach with the subjects in this study, namely parents, classroom teachers and children of Kindergarten Aba Karangkajen, Yogjakarta. The data collection techniques used were in-depth interviews and documentation. The results of the study show that the form of parent and teacher strategies to revive children’s learning motivation in the SFH policy in the midst of the Covid-19 Pandemic is by publishing the results of children’s work which is proven to turn on children’s learning motivation during the Covid-19 pandemic. The obstacles that parents and teachers encounter are related to the creativity aspect of parents and teachers, which often occurs playing activities that can make children bored while studying during the pandemic. The benefits of this study are the growth of children’s learning motivation by training children’s discipline when learning and doing assignments, as well as helping to improve the closeness between parents and children.
