Hubungan Sekolah dengan Masyarakat dalam Meningkatkan Mutu Pendidikan di SD Negeri Karangnongko 1 Kalasan Sleman

Abstract: This study aims to (1) describe the relationship between schools and the community in improving the quality of education at SD Negeri Karangnogko I, (2) Knowing the constraints of school-community relations in improving the quality of education at SD Negeri Karangnongko I. This research is a qualitative descriptive study. The subjects in this study were the principal, 2 teachers, 3 communities. Meanwhile, the object is public relations in improving the quality of education at SD Negeri Karangnongko I. Methods of data collection using observation, interviews and documentation. Data analysis in this research is data reduction, data presentation and conclusion drawing. Test the validity of the data using trianulation techniques and triangulation of sources.The results showed that the relationship between schools and the community at SD Negeri Karangnongko I was increasing and getting better. Evidenced by internal relations through teacher council meetings, outbound, mass media (wa), recitation from schools, suggestion boxes and announcement boards. Meanwhile, external relations are through dialogue, recitation from the community, mass media (WA group committee), meetings and art performances, mass media.
