Peran Kepala Sekolah dalam Meningkatkan Kualitas Sumber Daya Manusia di SD Muhammadiyah Sagan Yogyakarta Tahun Pelajaran 2019/2020

Abstract: This research aims at describing teachers’ and educational personnel’s competence in SD Muhammadiyah Sagan Yogyakarta and to find out the roles of school principal as well as the supporting factors and obstacles in improving the quality of human resources in SD Muhammadiyah Sagan Yogyakarta. The research used qualitative approach in the form of description. In selecting the subjects of the research, the researcher used purposive sampling technique. The subjects of the research were the school principal, teachers and educational personnel in SD Muhammadiyah Sagan Yogyakarta. The object of the research was the roles of the school principal in improving the quality of human resources in SD Muhammadiyah Sagan Yogyakarta. The data collection techniques used were interview, observation and documentation. The instruments of the research were interview guideline, observation guideline and documentation guideline. The research used source triangulation and method triangulation to test the validity of the data. The data were analyzed through data reduction, data display and verification/ conclusion drawing. The results of the research suggest that the teachers in SD Muhammadiyah Sagan have possessed pedagogical, personality, social and professional competences. The educational personnel in SD Muhammadiyah Sagan have possessed personality, social and technical competences. The principal of SD Muhammadiyah Sagan has performed his roles as an educator, manager, administrator, supervisor, leader, innovator and motivator (EMASLIM) in order to improve the quality of the human resources.
