Peran Orang Tua Dalam Mengembangkan Moral Siswa Kelas V SD Muhammdiyah Klepu

Abstract: Responsibility on children’s moral is depend on family, school, society, and government. There must be preventive action to overcome the moral problem, started from family. Family is known as main environment for children where parents take main part there. Through the importance of the contribution related to the children’s moral, therefore researcher does a research about students moral development. This research is qualitative research. The purpose of this research is to know parents function to the students moral development of 5th grade students at SD Muhammadiyah Klepu, parents problem on the students moral development of 5th grade students at SD Muhammadiyah Klepu, and external factors which affect the students moral development of 5th grade students at SD Muhammadiyah Klepu. Subjects on this research are students, classroom teacher, principal, and parents of 5th grade students at SD Muhammadiyah Klepu. Methods for data collecting were observation, interview, and questionnaire while method for data analyzing was interactive model (reduction, display, and verification). Based on research question, it can be concluded that the position of parents are as motivatior, facilitator, and guidance. Parents activities cause the lack of attention to children. The needs of live make parents to work harder, while the external factors of students moral development are climate, custom, economy and children position at home.
