Pengembangan Media Pembelajaran Comic Book Untuk Siswa Kelas IV SD

Abstract: This study aims to (1) develop comic book learning media for fourth grade elementary school students, (2) determine the feasibility of comic book learning media for fourth grade elementary school students. This study refers to Borg and Gall’s Research and Development (R&D) development model. The trial subjects in this study were media experts, material experts, linguists, learning experts, one teacher and 6 students for product testing and 22 students for usage trials. The data in this research are qualitative and quantitative data. The data obtained is based on validation by experts, small group product trials and usage trials. The instrument used in the development of this media was in the form of a questionnaire. This research produces comic book learning media on the theme of my heroes, the sub-theme of the heroes’ struggle for fourth grade elementary school students. The comic book learning media was assessed by several experts, teachers, small group product trials and usage trials. Based on the assessment made by the expert validator, the score was 86.83 in the “Very Good” category. Based on the teacher’s assessment at the time of product testing and usage trials, the score was 77.78 in the “good” category. Based on the results of the student responses, the score was 100 in the “very good” category for product testing and 81.40 in the “very good” category for the use trial. Thus, it shows that comic book learning media is suitable for use as a learning medium that can be used to support the learning process in grade IV SD.
